Martial arts is not just for boys! Girls also have a great time learning how to defend themselves. Training helps to build strength, improve flexibility and balance over time. Martial arts also helps to build mental strength as it requires focus, discipline & determination.
Martial arts are a great and fun way to workout. Children who take martial arts are healthier and make better decisions about food. They also learn to take better care of themselves in general.
Training in Martial Arts obviously provides many physical benefits- increasing flexibility, strength, endurance, fitness but also has many other benefits - improved mental well being, focus, confidence, respect, discipline, teamwork to name just a few.
Ju Jitsu is one of the oldest of martial arts that many others are derived from. It is the best martial arts for self defense. Students learn to strike effectively, throw and how to defend themselves should the fight go to the ground (which nearly all do) and more specific self defence techniques.
The older kids set a fantastic example for the younger students to follow and do a great job looking after them as they build important leadership skills. It’s also a great opportunity for siblings sharing quality time together.
