Martial Arts are a fun way to learn self defence skills, get fit, boost confidence and are a perfect way to relieve stress.
Students at WSMA learn real martial arts skills, in doing so they actively learn to develop key traits such as discipline, respect, listening, confidence, teamwork & many more.
Self-control and concentration are a couple of the ‘softer skills’ students develop as they progress. Attention is central to martial arts. Students have to stay focused to learn and to do the movements.
Studies have shown that martial arts classes improve school grades. It’s often tempting to drop activities around exam time - this is not a wise thing to do. Physical activity but particularly martial arts really do help to ensure good exam results.
Girls are strong & powerful in many ways. Improving our strength, core stability & flexibility from a young age will have lasting positive benefits to our body long term - while learning an important life skill.
